About

I'm a Product Owner for observability at UNIQA Group Services, where I'm responsible for Dynatrace and Splunk across the organisation. After three years as the hands-on SME for these platforms, I also stepped into product ownership in 2026 to help shape the wider observability strategy - from platform direction and integrations to the day-to-day rhythm of dashboards, alerts, and stakeholder enablement.

My background is physics and acoustics. I came into monitoring through signal analysis and customer-facing IT support, and that still shapes how I work: pattern-recognition first, getting specific second, and make complex behaviour meaningful to the people who need to act on it.

I'm equally comfortable building a dashboard at 9 a.m. and reframing a roadmap conversation at 4 p.m. - and I think the best observability specialists need to be both.

Outside of work I'm into 3D printing, run a small home Linux HomeLab I like to tinker with, and get outdoors as much as I can - hiking, camping, mountain biking, and travelling.

Experience

  1. — Present

    UNIQA Group Services

    Product Owner - Observability

Own and shape observability capabilities across the group: platform direction, governance, stakeholder communication, and strategic improvement of the monitoring service. Act as the bridge between technical teams and management - reporting, recommendations, and clear communication around tooling, roadmap, and service maturity.

    • Driving deeper integrations between the observability platforms and the wider service-management ecosystem to streamline and automate incident response workflows and decrease MTTR.
    • Curating dashboards that consolidate the right signals for application owners, platform teams, and management - making sure each audience sees what they actually need to act on.
    • Exploring AI-assisted access to observability data, so dashboards, problems, and queries become reachable through natural language via MCP.
    • Running internal enablement: structured Q&A sessions, onboarding flows, and reusable guidance for application teams.
  2. — Present

    UNIQA Group Services

Monitoring & Observability Specialist | Dynatrace & Splunk SME

Primary point of contact for Dynatrace and Splunk across the company - operations, onboarding, troubleshooting, dashboarding, alerting, synthetic monitoring, and integrations. Led the migration from Dynatrace Managed to Dynatrace SaaS and the adoption of modern Grail-era capabilities.

    • Built and maintained dashboards across Dynatrace and Splunk for application owners, infrastructure teams, and service-management stakeholders.
    • Designed AutomationEngine Workflows for closed-loop scenarios - connecting observability signals to the wider service-management toolchain.
    • Implemented integrations with third-party systems such as ServiceNow and enabled Webhook alerts to Teams/Slack so observability findings reached the people who needed them in the tools they already used.
    • Partnered with application owners, platform admins, and service-management stakeholders to identify performance issues, clarify ownership, and close observability gaps.
  3. — 2023

    Liebherr Appliances

    NVH Engineer — Acoustics

Performed noise, vibration and harshness measurements, simulations, and analysis to improve product acoustic quality. Worked with multichannel high-resolution measurement systems, reverberation chambers, and semi-anechoic chambers. The signal-analysis muscle I built here transfers directly into how I read APM and infrastructure telemetry today. You don't want noise in both scenarios.

  4. Earlier

    TMDHosting · IT Factory

IT / Web Hosting Support Specialist

Supported customers on Linux hosting, cPanel, DNS, email, web applications and backups. Daily ticket handling, troubleshooting, account management, and writing knowledge-base articles. This is where I learned to translate technical problems into language a stressed-out customer can act on at 2 a.m.

Beyond work

3D printing

A hobby that's gently out of hand - two Bambu Lab printers (P1S and P2S) running at home. Mostly for my own projects, sometimes printing things for friends, neighbours and other fans who need them.

Four-node homelab

An Ubuntu Server cluster - AI/LLM node, observability node, DNS node, storage node - stitched together with Tailscale. Where I prototype things that would never get a change window at work.

Outdoors

Hiking, camping, mountain biking, and travelling - preferably all in one trip when I can manage it. Bulgaria has a generous supply of mountains to make that easy.

Let's talk.

If you're hiring for an observability engineer, a product owner working close to platforms, or someone to make sense of a noisy monitoring estate - I'd be glad to hear from you.

If you want to chat about technology, 3D printing or nature you're more than welcome to reach out, too!
